Microstock Metadata Best Practices

1. Title Precision

Describe the specific subject, action, context, and mood. Avoid generic filler words or keyword stuffing. Stock algorithms penalize repetitive unnatural phrases.

2. Keyword Hierarchy

Adobe Stock and Shutterstock heavily prioritize the first 5 to 10 keywords. Animateboss automatically puts your primary subjects and core concepts first.

3. Formula Sanitization

All exported CSV files are sanitized against spreadsheet formula injection triggers (=, +, -, @), protecting your desktop spreadsheet applications.

4. IPTC & XMP Embedding

When using the "Embed Metadata" feature, titles, descriptions, and tags are directly written into image headers for 1-click batch upload across FTP agencies.
